Since I haven’t seen a movie in a long time that is worthy of writing a review for, I thought I’d make a list of my Top 5 Movie Kisses. They really aren’t in any particular order, but you can probably guess my absolute favorite:
1. The Notebook–Ok, if you hadn’t guessed by now, what took you so long?? This kiss is my absolute favorite. Actually, I love every kiss from this movie, but this one is the best. How can it not be? There is really no comparison when it comes to this kiss.

2. Serendipity- A cute movie, a sweet kiss, and of course, John Cusack (again in some sort of precipitation).

3. Gone With the Wind–A classic kiss! I just watched it on youtube and I love how Scarlett’s all “Fiddledeedee” and Rhett’s all “None of the fools you’ve known have kissed you like this—have they? ” I just love the way he takes hold of the situation and puts her in her place. Not that I’m about men putting women in places, but it works in this scene.

4. Titanic-The color of the sky, the costumes, LEO!!! This is a truly magical kiss.

5. Sixteen Candles–Ahh, Jake Ryan. Didn’t every girl who grew up in the 80’s want to kiss Jake Ryan. Gosh was he was dreamy. Anyway, this is a great kiss:

So, what famous movie kiss do you think should be added to this list?

How about the kiss in First Knight? (I think it’s between Lancelot and Gwenivere … or however you spell their names,)
Oh. My. Gosh.
i think you nailed it with your top five.. very steamy..
It wasn’t over. It still isn’t over! One of the best movie moments ever..We have the same taste!
Yes on all accounts! Seriously though, Serendipity is severely underrated..that movie was simply wonderful…
The kiss between Laurie (Christian Bale) and Jo (Winona Ryder) in Little Women. A lot of people find it sorta weird but I found it very natural and real. I’m kooky like that!
Hmmm - my work computer seems to be refusing to show those pictures - perhaps I shouldn’t actually be doing this at work!!
I can’t for the life of me think of my Top Five movie kisses - I am going to have to do some research!!
ok, this is pretty cheesy, but remember that I saw this movie fresh out of high school and thought it was oh so romantic -
A Walk In the Clouds … the kiss near the end with Keanu Reeves and the girl (can’t remember her name) … I think it happens after the vineyard burns down, and there’s still smoke in the air, and they are covered in soot and dirt … at least that’s the way I remember it
I couldn’t find a video of that exact kiss, but there’s another one that’s just as good in this video - skip to the 2:40 mark to watch just the kiss - enjoy!
Ok, so I couldn’t include the video clip, sorry.
But here’s the link to check it out yourself

Oh, and the kiss i love IS at the end, but it’s shorter than I remember …
[…] The Best Movie Kisses idea that The Mish Mash posted about. You can read her top five kisses here. I completely agree with her number one kiss, but I am including five more of my favorites. […]
oh how I love good movie kisses! you seriously picked some good ones. I think my favorite part of watching kisses is that when two people kiss it’s like their two heads make a heart… I love that
Top Gun. The way Tom Cruise looks at Kelly McGillis, then grabs her and moves in for the kiss. I shiver just thinking about it!
And then my most favirote ALMOST kiss, and I’m almost ashamed to admit I’ve watched this, is in High School Musical 2, when Troy leans in for a kiss at the locker, and then get interrupted by his friends. I was yelling, “NO! Finish the kiss!”
What about the kiss at the end of The Princess Bride? It is one of my favorites!!
I totally don’t know what kisses I’d add. I notice them but can never remember them. Minor details. But I agree with your list. Especially #1, #2, and #4.
Now I’ll be wracking my brain for the rest of the day, trying to think of other great movie kisses…
Spiderman upside-down kiss of Mary Jane is on my list.
The kiss at the end of “Sweet Home Alabama” (again in the rain). Wow!!
Also, the end of “Pretty Woman”.
The end of “Never Been Kissed”.
The end of “Ten things I hate about you.” (Heath Ledger, what can I say?)
(As you can see, I love romantic comedies)!
