Friday Eye Candy: The Halloween Edition

Happy Halloween!  For today’s Friday Eye Candy, I thought it would be fun to take a look at the gorgeous celebrities that are no longer with us, but haunt us with their hotness.

Let’s find out who made the list:

My top choice (and my friend Kate and 3Boys1Mommy’s too) would be Marlon Brando (in his pre-Big Mac days).  When I was about 15 years old I was flipping through the channels one day when I came across the movie “The Wild Ones”.  I then tried to watch all his old films and could not believe how sexy this guy was in his prime.  Yum!!

Jen E.’s pick was Gregory Peck (especially in Roman Holiday):

My friend Kate, Elaine, Susan, 3Boys1Mommy picked the very recently deceased Paul Newman:

Now let’s talk about some more celebrity guys who died way too young.  My top choice for that category would have to be River Phoenix.  I fell in love with him when I first saw him in Stand By Me and carried around a laminated picture of him in my purse the whole 8th grade school year.

Tena’s choice of dead guy she’d like to “do” would have to be Kurt Cobain (Did you know there was a rumor that Ryan Gosling was supposed to play him in a movie about his life with Scarlett Johanssen playing Courtney Love–I think that would be great casting!)

SmellyAnn is still sad about Heath Ledger (and so am I when I look at pictures like this one.):

I was surprised that no one mentioned James Dean.  I love this picture of him:

This week’s Aloha Friday question is a two-parter:

What is the scariest movie you’ve ever seen and which of the guys on today’s list would you most like to cuddle up with when watching that movie?

And since it is Halloween and even though he isn’t dead, I couldn’t resist putting this picture on here today:

Most horror movies don’t bother me too much, it’s the ones with ghosts that do scare me. I am mortified of ghosts, even though I have never seen one. I think if I did I would just have to stop breathing and let myself die out of fear.

After looking at this list I’m gonna have to go with James Dean – I apparently needed to brush up on my dead hotties. Scariest movie? I’m really not a scary movie fan – I try to avoid them truth be told. I saw a couple minutes of Silence of the Lambs and said, “whoo boy, no thanks.” I thought 6th Sense was scary. And The Village. It doesn’t take much. Could we watch Roman Holiday instead?

Today is the 15 year anniversary of River’s death, too, creepy, huh?

I think Vertigo was the scariest (I know I’m a sissy)… I wouldn’t mind watching it with Jimmy Stewart .

    Great pictures!!!

And is it just me, or does Paul Newman in that photo remind you a bit of Matthew McConaughey? I’m thinking of something like this picture but not quite …

Well, Edward’s heart doesn’t beat so I guess technically he’s dead… thankfully Robert Pattinson is alive and kickin’!

I am the biggest chicken ever when it comes to movies like this, so at any given moment I might need them all!

But…. if I had to choose just one, I will go with Paul Newman, he was a hottie when he was younger, almost..ALMOST has a Matthew McCoughay (sp?) feel to him.

I saw the exorcist when I was 13 and have never recovered.
I wouldn’t mind watching this with Heath though!

Wow….Brando used to be HOT?!?!?! Who knew.
I know that he played for the other team, but, wasn’t Rock Hudson a beautiful specimen in his time?

All of your photos were just beautiful. I had never seen that pic of Kurt Cobain before. Stunning.

I’d cuddle up with any of em.

I can see the Paul Newman / Matthew McConaughey resemblance.

The scariest movie I’ve ever seen is probably “The Ring”. Totally freaked me out! I don’t think I’d ever watch it again, but I’d make the exception if I could cuddle up to James Dean.

I stay away from the scary movies… don’t get me wrong, I love suspense and mystery. I just can’t even begin to handle the gory outright terror. No thank you.

However, IF I had to watch one, well, I’d need Heath to hold on to. Yep, I’m pretty sure I’d be there in a heartbeat, no matter how terrifying the movie. Heath would keep me safe…

Oh, I do have to agree with Brando. I know that I am only 24 and that his movies are, well, slightly out of demographic..but I was watching him on A Streetcar Named Desire and woooo..it’s no wonder he drove the women crazy!

And James Dean..it was a tradegy :( I would have loved to see him in more roles

Well, obviously, I’d pick Heath! I’m no fan of scary movies, but the scariest for me was probably Children of the Corn. I don’t even like to think about it! I’d watch it again with Mr. Ledger, though. :)

Oh dang, I forgot about James Dean! He’s a honey in that picture for sure. Just tragic…
