Hot Mamas Know: Preventing Wrinkles

Last month, I talked about my skincare routine and touted the use of Olay Moisturizer with SPF 15.  I do use this on a daily basis, but when I know that I’ll be out in the sun for a longer amount of time, I kick it up a notch.

Did you know that 90 percent of wrinkles are caused by the damage from the sun?  UVA and UVB rays are the enemy!!  In order to protect your skin from these harmful rays, you should look for a sunscreen that is labeled as “Broad Spectrum”.  I like this one because it goes on pretty smooth and doesn’t seem to make me break out anymore than normal:

Another weapon to add to your arsenal of sun protection is a big hat.  Apparently, after seeing Sex in the City, I’m inclined to think that they are a “must have” item for this summer.  Now I doubt that you need to go as large as this one worn by Samantha, but if you feel like it more power to you:

These hats are not only stylish, but they also keep your skin protected from the sun’s damaging rays. Here are a couple of more subtle alternatives to the freakishly large one above.   All of these can be found at the Luxury Diva  shop on Amazon:

Have fun in the sun, but stay safe!!

I really must have one of those hats. Maybe the green. No, the blue. :)

I totally wish I could pull off the Samantha hat but I’m afraid I haven’t half her attitude.

I’ll take one of those hats . . . but only if I can have the same view that Samantha was having while wearing it (tee-hee)!

Got something to say?
