November Is Sexy
November is a month for giving thanks. Thanks for family. Thanks for friends. Thanks for sexy guys.
That is why People magazine couldn’t have picked a more perfect month to put out their Sexiest Man Alive edition.
I actually wasn’t going to do a post about this topic. I kind of thought that Susan and Katelin pretty much had it covered with their recap, but then I visited the website and saw that once again Ryan Gosling had been left off the list.
Hello?!! People, what the heck is wrong with you?!?! Do your editor’s not have eyes?
Here is the latest picture of him going to lunch with a friend. I don’t know how he does it, but he even manages to make riding on an escalator sexy!
And while I’m at it, you can’t tell me that crinkle thing he does isn’t the sexiest thing you’ve ever seen. Maybe People just didn’t notice it. Maybe they need me to point it out for them:
The cover and Sexiest Man Alive title went to Hugh Jackman. He isn’t one of my faves but I can see the appeal.
Overall, I was pretty happy with the rest of the list. David Beckham. Check. Rob Pattinson. GIANT CHECK. Joshua Jackson. Surprising, but check. Mark-Paul Gosselaar. Um. Yeah, I’m really not feeling them on that one, but I’m sure there are some die-hard Zach Morris fans out there so I’ll cut them some slack.
It’s a damn good list (even without Ryan Gosling), and I have to admit that I was completely thrilled that Chuck Bass made the list. (That’s Ed Westwick for non-Gossip Girl fans.)
When I first started watching GG, I wasn’t sure about it. I thought to myself, “Self, why would you want to get into another teenage drama when you are THIRTY-FOUR FREAKIN’ YEARS OLD!?!?!”
At first I really didn’t like the show because it was so over the top ridiculous with the teenage characters hanging out in hotel bars, drinking martinis and going to masquerade balls, but eventually I caved. To make a long story short, I’m now completely hooked. There is so much to love about the show, but the absolute best part is Chuck Bass.
Ed Westwick plays the character so well. He has perfected his arrogant, awful, womanizing demeanor, but in a way that you can’t help but sort of fall in love him.
Actually, just the other day I was painting my bathroom and I felt like something was off, like I was missing something or forgetting something. It took me awhile to pinpoint it, but I figured it out. I needed to get my Chuck Bass fix. I’m addicted to him. I can’t get enough of him and I’m not ashamed to admit it.
Watching Chuck Bass is like riding an emotional roller coaster and when it’s over you are just left wanting more, more MORE!! Here are the stages:
Stage 1: Hate (You are completely disgusted by him and find his pompous attitude a complete turn off.)
Stage 2: Pity (You begin to feel sorry for him and wonder if he isn’t such a bad guy after all.)
Stage 3: Lust (You start having fantasies about him that involve scarves and limos or any combination of the two.)
Stage 4: Love (You find yourself wanting to have his babies.)
Repeat Steps 1-4 several times during the course of a single episode.

I can’t see your photos, but I LOVE me some Chuck Bass. I love your steps! I’m so happy Gossip Girl came along with Chuck Bass (my main reason for watching) to fill the big gaping hole left behind in my heart when they yanked Logan Echolls (otherwise known as the show Veronica Mars) off the air.

I’ve made it no secret that, thus far, I’m not really feeling the whole “world gone crazy for Rob Pattinson” thing, but I am digging his music side… I am sure, post tonight’s excursion to the cinema, that I will have a more precise opinion…
Leaving Ryan Gosling off is an outrage. What about James MacAvoy??? Was he on the list? And Zach Morris? Really? Like- 10 years ago maybe…

Good post…. one thing to look forward to is buying the magazine because “your Ryan” could still be in between those pages… there’s lots more guys in there to look at… and maybe one is Ryan… we can only hope….

Yeah. I think you are the one who really opened my eyes to his hotness. I just saw that movie once, and then quickly resumed my life under a rock. But your continuous posting of him, pics of him. And why yes. He is undeniably sexy. Hot. And I think I myself have a thing for him now. Thanks very much. I used to like Mr. Jackman. I did. But last night, I saw some freaky movie he was in. And he was bald and crying and playing some Dr. and there was his dead wife. And to be honest, I only saw the last 15 minutes, but it totally turned me off to him. And Gosling? Even with that holy shirt he wore the other day, he’s still FAB.
Oh, and I don’t watch gossip girl. I’m not lucky enough to have the option here in Chile.

Yesterday on msn, I saw a video titled 100 sexy guys in 1 minute. It showed 100 of the guys that were part of this year’s Sexiest Men Alive 2008 edition of People, and I swear I saw a quick blurb of Ryan’s face. So, he is in there. He is a finalist. I personally didn’t want to see him in there b/c I don’t want him to get a big head and be prideful. He probably already is becoming that way and that totally decreases his hotness factor in my opinion!
