I can run, but I can’t hide. I was tagged by both Former City Girl and Momma Blogs A Lot for this meme. I guess there is no escaping it. Here are 7 random things about me (why anyone cares is a mystery, but whatever):
1. I eat cereal or oatmeal (or ice cream, but usually the first two) almost every night before going to bed. Ask my hips. They don’t lie.
2. I try really hard to match my underwear to my shirt. I used to be more obsessive about this when I was younger. Now, I’ve calmed down about it and just try to make sure that they don’t clash with the shirt.
3. I try to be ‘green’. I really do. But there is one thing that I do that wouldn’t earn any points with Leo or the polar bears. I fail miserably with remembering to switch my laundry from the washer to the dryer. I often have to wash my laundry twice because I forget about it the first time and it goes sour. Every time this happens I cringe thinking about those poor polar bears and their melting ice caps. This is why my next house will have a laundry room next to the kitchen instead of in the dungeon basement.
4. I’ve never broken a bone. I guess I’m either just really careful or really lucky. Or really boring.
5. This one I’m sure will get lots of gasps and ughs and “Are you kidding me?”, but I will freely admit it anyway. I like Grease 2 way better than the original Grease movie. Oh yes I do. How can you not sing along with Michelle Pfeiffer to “Cool Rider”? Plus, I thought that Maxwell Caulfield (the cool rider) was way cuter than John Travolta ever could be. So there!
6. I had my first kiss in 7th grade at Skateland and thought it was so gross. Then I kissed my second boy later that summer at an Air Supply Concert and it totally made me rethink my stance on kissing. So. Not. Gross. I believe that the kiss happened during this song. Does anyone else this cheesy video?
7. I hitchhiked once. It was during Senior Week (Grad week at the beach). It was 6am and the buses weren’t running yet so we decided to put out our thumbs to see if we could catch a ride. Dumb, I know. Luckily the guy who picked us up wasn’t a serial killer. What was so important that I felt the need to risk my life by getting into some potential psychopath’s car? Oh, just the fact that I had to go see the love of my life (He really was because this later turned out to be my husband) who was staying 20 blocks or so up the road. People will do really stupid things when they are a teenager in love. I plan to lock my kids in the dungeon when they hit puberty.

After 24 years of friendship (WOW, that’s a long time) I can still learn new things about you. If you look in my underwear drawer, you’ll see black. 99% of my underwear are black because they go with everything and they don’t show stains.
I too am guilty of wasting energy in the laudry dept. Mine is the dryer. I’ll turn it on to get the wrinkles out and remember hours later…then I need to turn it on to get the wrinkles out again, and again….
I’m bad about the laundry too. It’s definitely my least favorite chore.
Let’s see…something random? I can say the alphabet backwards faster than I can say it forwards. That’s pretty random, right?
Random fact: My Tetris record is 419 lines. I bought a handheld Tetris game when I was pregnant with Max to help me zone out during labor. I just put batteries back in it the other day and could only manage 49 lines. I think my thumbnails are too long.
Didn’t you know I’m the queen of random? LOL
I’m also helping to contribute to the polar bears demise by having to re do laundry.
Random thing about me..I’m going to the NKOTB concert on Oct 19th. Stoked would be understatement on my excitment level. Though you probably already knew this random fact. Yes I’m 30 years old and having a mid life crises.

I’m with you on the laundry. Only I have no excuse because our laundry room is between the kitchen and the family room. I’m just a flake.
Although I love the original Grease, I have never seen Grease 2! Tragic! I’m going to put it on my Netflix queue right now.

I swear I watched it daily when I was 15 and it still has a special place in my heart.
I definitely have a lot of random things, but one my husband wants me to post is how I am about the sheets on the bed. I can’t stand if they’re bunchy or if there are too much of them at the top. They have to be perfectly flat and just the right amount at the top. If I get into bed and none of this is the case, then I have to get out of bed to fix it. I will even do this in the middle of the night if I wake up and realize the sheets are too bunchy. I will even wake my husband up in the middle of the night trying to flatten the sheets and trying to pull them down b/c somehow (have no idea how it happens when we’re both sound asleep!) they have crept up too much. And then in the morning, the bed HAS to be made. If it’s not, I lose it and feel like the whole room is a total mess. Never mind there can be baskets of laundry all around the room, stuff all over the dresser, but if the bed is NOT made the entire room looks like a mess to me. Clutter is another one of my issues, but I won’t go there….

I try to make sure my underwear match my bottoms, so if the bottoms ride down there’s a less noticeable clash.
And, I love me some Air Supply - who doesn’t find themselves belting out an oldie but goodie when it comes on? My personal fave is Making Love Out of Nothing At All - SO.MUCH.EMOTION. packed into that song. It’s a wonder those guys didn’t make it out of the 80’s (or early 90’s). LOL.
Hmm, a random fact about me: after eating them out of a party favor bag my 3 year old got (I was afraid they’d pull her teeth out), I have become obsessively addicted to Airheads candy. I buy the jumbo box at BJ’s so I can get the special edition pink lemonade flavor and silently freak out if anyone but me gets to eat them. I keep count so I know if someone has had one. And then I feel a little evil about it because the only other people who would eat them is my husband (who really doesn’t eat them) or my mom, who does so much for me I should just give her the whole box. I eat at least one a day, and hate green apple - I save those for one of my best friend who adores them.

Hmmmm…..I like the soundtrack to Grease 2 better but the movie Grease better. Either way, both soundtracks are on my iPod.
Random fact about me…….
……I can’t eat sweet apples or oranges. They both have to be sour. Granny Smith’s and sour oranges. I also have to eat bananas before they’re completely ripe. If they get too ripe, they’re too sweet and it makes me want to barf. The only cherries I can eat are bing…any of the others are too sweet.
Oh! I will definitely be using this in a future post!
BTW, I’m 24 and I know that Grease 2 came out WAAAAAAAY before I even knew the power of Summer Lovin’…but as er…slightly less successful Grease 2 was? Maxwell Caulfield? i have to admit, I have a crush on him in that movie….
Well I would tell you a completely random fact, but I just did this meme, meself. LOL. And you’re not cool if you don’t love c-oo-l r-i-d-e-r…and I do.
Love me some Air Supply. And my favorite late night snack has got to be cereal. In fact, my hubby is pouring himself a bowl right now. Time, 10 pm.
I hated animals until my sister brought home two cats while I was away at college and I had to get used to them when I came home. Now I love them and cannot imagine life without them even though I am still not too terribly fond of other people’s pets.

i have been on vacation and am catching up… i LOVE Grease 2… LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!
When I lived in L.A., I had the same eye doctor as Maxwell. Man, he’s aged well.
And I forget my frickin’ laundry in the washer all the time. I hate having to rewash it, but the one time I dried my mildewy clothes, thinking the smell might lift off from the heat, I had to sit at work for 9 hours in a stinky shirt.
You match your shirt to your underwear? I’m sorry I really don’t get this. Is this like your mother always tells you to wear clean underwear because you never know what could happen? I mean god forbid when you hitchhiked that was a serial killer and you got caught wearing underwear that didn’t match your shirt!!! That would be the talk of the town for sure, hahahaha. Okay, just teasing. Interesting list ;).
Happy POW! I SO have you beat on the laundry problem. I have a front load washer (yay me! Go green!) and it fits bedding and other large items. Well last week. Yes a week ago today- I washed my comforter. The next day I remembered it was still in the wash and re washed it. The next day I did it again. Then the next, then I skipped a day, but rewashed it again before I FINALLY remembered to dry it yesterday… BAD ME! At least I can say that I used less water for those 6 loads right?
