Side by Side

I don’t have time for a real post.  I promise I’ll write one after Christmas.  My mind is just too jumbled right now to string together anything coherent.

I just thought I’d do a few side by side shots to get your opinion on a few things:

First, here is what Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams would look like if they were spending the holidays in Canada together (like they should be).  They are both rocking the cute coats and I can picture them walking hand in hand down the street on their way to pick out their Christmas tree.  Can’t you?

Oh well, a girl can dream.

Next, in Twilight news, I would like to discuss the Jacob Black controversy.  Supposedly, they are considering another actor for the role. I believe his name is Michael Copon.   I really don’t understand this.  This other guy doesn’t look that much bigger or wolf-like?  I mean do they really think they are going to find an almost seven foot tall/ Native American-looking actor that would be better?   I think Taylor did a great job as Jacob in Twilight and I just read that he has put on 19 pounds of muscle to keep the part.   I appreciate his dedication and hope that he gets to keep the role.  I think with a little CGI/movie magic they should be able to make him bigger.    Here is a side by side of the two actors considered:

And of course, we must discuss Robert Pattinson’s new haircut.

I think he definitely still looks hot but it takes a little away from his Edward-ness.

What do you think?  Upgrade or downgrade?

That’s about it for now.  I probably won’t post again until Friday, so I just wanted to wish everyone who celebrates a very Merry Christmas!!

    Merry Christmas!!!!

I’d say Robert is pretty smokin’ with or without the floppy hair…

And I also say stick with the original Jacob!

I actually prefer the short hair on “Edward” I kind of thought the long hair was a bit ridiculous truth be told – give him a razor to shave that awful scruff and I think he’ll look wonderful – better even.

And yes – let’s keep Taylor – he did such a great job and he really fits the part – this other guy I just can’t see it and I don’t think the fans would really approve in general.

And seriously – McGosling needs to get a clue for Christmas and get back together stat!

I prefer more hair on R. Patt, BUT I prefer it NOT to look like he’s housing a colony of birds in it. Ya know?

As far as the next Twilight flick, I hate to say it, but I’ve lost all hope. They aren’t using Katherine Hardwicke as the director and rather using a guy. I think it’s going to be hard to get his head around Bella. And now this news about recasting Jacob? Another Epic Fail by the folks at Summit. All they need to do is adjust camera angles and fool with the CGI stuff.

When motion picture companies start taking away from a good equation and adding in other things that weren’t there to begin with, it’s not going to equal success.

If they even talk about recasting Jasper I’m definitely not going to waste my money next time around.

I vote to keep Taylor… I agree, he did a good job in the 1st movie.
And I do like Robert with both the longer and shorter hair. But I can’t believe he cut it… don’t they start filming New Moon in March? I think there’s like, less than 12 weeks til they start filming… and I don’t see how that will be enough time to get his hair the length it should be!

Oh, and I am soooo with Auds… if Jackson Rathbone is not back as Jasper in not only the second movie, but the rest of the series as well… I will be one seriously livid fanpire.

    Merry Christmas to you, too!

I loved Taylor as Jacob. He has a smile that lights up a room. Which is one thing Bella loved about him. They better keep him!

And I like Rob either way. Although with the semi-long hair as Edward, he looks the best. I hope it grows out by the time they start filming.

They better not screw up this movie trying to make buttloads of money as soon as they can.

Robert Pattinson could shave his head and wear a TuTu and I’d still be his wife. Just sayin.
I’m not so sure about Taylor as Jacob. I mean…just don’t know. I saw Twilight over the weekend for the third time. Yes, I’m a loser. And I was thinkin…Could I see this kid as a wolf? Not so sure. He’s so…NICE. But whatevs, I’m flexible.

Oh, there was a show last night on ABC which made me think of you. I hoped you had gotten to see it….it showed a video of Ryan doing some audition when he was just a wee bit of a kid. It was really cool.

    Have a happy!

Jen, I am glad you found my blog so I could find yours. I think we are kindred spirits. Ryan, check. Twilight, check.
