Thursday Thirteen: Books From the Show LOST

Do you like books?

Do you like the show LOST?

If you answered yes to both of these questions, you should visit My Friend Amy’s blog.  She is doing a reading challenge that centers around books seen or mentioned on the tv show LOST.

I’ll admit that I haven’t read most of the books on the list (which is kind of sad because a lot are classics), so I am going to try really hard to read at least 5 of them this summer.  Here is a list of 13 books from the show that I haven’t read and would like to read:

  1. A Wrinkle in Time
  2. The Turn of the Screw
  3. Catch-22
  4. Carrie
  5. A Brief History of Time
  6. Moby Dick
  7. Prey
  8. Through the Looking Glass
  9. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
  10. The Mysterious Island
  11. Heart of Darkness
  12. Evil Under the Sun
  13. The Fountainhead (pictured below)

GREEN = Books I’m reading for the challenge. (And yes, I know I’m the last person in the civilized world who has NOT read Harry Potter.  Please don’t be too hard on me for this fact.)

See the complete list PLUS how they were featured on the show here

Sidenote:  This gives me a perfect opportunity to post a pic of Sawyer (Josh Holloway) in his adorable reading glasses!  I’d love to be stranded on that island with him (freaky black smoke monster and all).

Love the Sawyer picture! Thanks for posting about it Jen.

Harry Potter is not hard core fantasy. Seriously, I had the same reservations, but it’s just so easy to love. And really funny.

Haven’t seen Lost, but that’s a good list of books. Loved A Wrinkle in Time as a child and loved the Harry Potter books as an adult. Happy TT

I’ve never read any Harry Potter, either. No plans at this time. And I think I’m the only person who doesn’t watch Lost!

    Thanks for stopping by.
You can add me to the list of people that haven’t read Harry Potter. But, Heart of Darkness is good. At least, I thought so when I read it a few years ago.

I’ve never seen lost, but that is a great list! I will have to wonder over to amazon.com and do some research. I’m a bookaholic.
    Have a great day!
