I have seen this bandwagon go by a few times. I’m skeptical. If, by chance, one of the books ends up at the used bookstore I frequent I’ll take it as a sign.

I heard fabulous things about Twilight, but I have never read the book. The whole vampire thing just really wasn’t my cup of tea. But hearing you describe the book, especially the romance, I think I may have to give it a try.

BTW, I loved the Sweet Valley High series when I was younger!

How do all of you find time to read??!! I am so exhausted by the time I put my son to bed, that sadly, I haven’t read a book since before he was born (well, minus pregnancy books that I read when I was pregnant, but those don’t really count). I’m still trying to finish Pride and Prejudice and simply haven’t devoted the time to do it. I’m still holding out hope that one day I’ll finish though :-p

NO…you can’t have Edward. He’s MINE!! Seriously, I’m with you 100%…my daughter got me hooked on the books and it’s become an obsession with us. We can hardly wait for the movie….but I’ll have to wait until she gets home from college for Thanksgiving before I see it…we absolutely must go together.

Having been a SERIOUS vampire aficionado my ENTIRE LIFE, I was suprised I got hooked on a series geared towards teens. But it sucked me in.

I was disappointed when I heard who was cast as Edward and Bella…until I saw the trailer you posted. I think I might actually be a little more open to the movie after all. I’ve always been disappointed in the way my (notice how possessive I am) vampires are portrayed in film…especially Anne Rice’s vamps. But we’ll see how this turns out.

Yes, I am a freak…I’ve embraced my inner vampire. *lol*

I LOVE THE TWILIGHT BOOKS!
I too am obsessed with them. My husband gets tired of hearing about how wonderful Edward is!
Actually he has read the 1st two books and enjoyed them, but not as much as I have!
I’m looking forward to seeing Robert Pattinson portray Edward on the big screen. I wasn’t convinced at first, but now I’m 100% happy with the casting of Rob.

I am the only person I know who didn’t love the 1st book. I feel like such a geek! BUT I think I may re-read it. I think the movie looks BETTER than the book. Can’t wait to see it.

so now we get to be BFF’s right??? BEcause I could have written this post. Not being a fantasy fan AT ALL, I expected to hate it. I loved everything you said. The way their relationship is written left me giddy, emotionally moved and electric with nearly every page.

I’m worried about the movie though. Worried it will ruin a beautiful thing. Because, lets face it- Edward Cullen IS perfect… and this guy playing him- I don’t see Edward in him.

I SO hope I like this book as much as everyone does. You know those movies that really get hyped up and then you don’t think they were that great. I feel like that’s the direction I’m headed.

I have to finish the book I’m reading first…I may just have to cave and actually buy the book, I have a feeling the library won’t let me keep it for as long as it will take for me to finish it.
