Back to school and working? Wow! You go!

As far as Obama’s speech to schools…I will be honest. If I had a child who was school age and attending public school, had the lesson plan that was to accompany the speech not been retooled and certain things taken out, I would have pulled said child I don’t have in school right now, out. It smacked a little too much of indoctrination rather than education. It’s all good now though. Whilst I have not been a fan of ANY administration since 1992, and am definitely not in Obama’s camp, (I’m not in anyone’s really…) I think that his speech was spot on. Education is VITAL. I think more POTUS’ should endeavor to make this kind of speech a priority on a yearly basis.

i think it’s a cute story.

I agree whole heartedly. I am not the biggest bush fan, nor am I a big advocate for the Obama camp but I was disappointed that Gen’s school didn’t air it so we watched it on youtube. The entire thing has been ridiculous and moderately embarrassing for Americans.

#1…I think the whole thing is utter and SICK insanity…I wrote a letter in protest to my school system for NOT airing the speech today. My boys and I watched it at home this afternoon.

#2…WOW nice pic…great development on the muscle front…where have I been?!?!

#3… HILARIOUS about you running into former student. I am a former tchr as well and feel my oldest when I see how old my former students are now! (my first class of 3rd graders is in college this year!)

#4…I understand, I recently completed the credits for my masters and felt rusty on the whole paper writing thing but it was fine…. besides your posts ARE writing….and I would throw in a pic or two just like that one for good measure….

Congrats on going back to school! I am curious as to why you had to go back to school though?? Is it because you are in a different state that has different requirements? Just wondering because I didn’t have to in order to go back this Fall and I had been out of it for 5years…
