To help the Earth stay greenier we here at home have stopped using chemical cleaning supplies, I make my own now with water, vinegar and lemon juice! Works just the same if not better. We’ve also switched to reusable bags instead of paper and plastic from the stores. We’ve always been a family that has recycled so that’s still the same!

It’s a great giveaway. Hope I’m lucky enough to win one!

We always recycle our cans; we reuse the plastic grocery bags for bathroom garbage cans; I also have about 10 resusable cloth bags in my pantry…but ALWAYS forget to bring them to the store with me and always remember at the check out just like you. I feel so horrible about it! I need to use them!

I actually remembered to take my green bag with me when I went to the store yesterday–yay! But it doesn’t really fold up; I’d love one I can put in my purse! =)

A few ways we have gone greener! We are using cloth diapers on my son now instead of disposable. I won’t buy any more paper towels, just using regular towels. I do have a few bags for grocery shopping, but usually my few aren’t enough, so I’d love another one! Thanks for the chance!

I am always forgetting those damn bags. Here’s a problem my mate and I have encountered on the way to the store:
If you take the elevator to the bottom floor and then realize you have forgotten your grocery bags, is it better or worse for the environment to go back up in the elevator and get them?
I suspect that you expend more energy using the elevator twice more to get the canvas bags than is used in producing and recycling (or trashing) the plastic bags you would receive at the grocery store.

I use reusable shopping totes… we started taking part in the recycling program here in town…. we changed out light bulbs…. and I try and turn everything off that we aren’t using and unplug things that aren’t being used.

I try to just use my bike panniers whenever possible instead of getting plastic bags. If I remember I’ll bring along a reusable bag, but that doesn’t always happen!
