Friday Eye Candy: Heath Ledger
Yesterday marked the one year anniversary of Heath Ledger’s tragic death, and coincidentally, it was also the day he was nominated for an Oscar for his role as the joker in The Dark Knight.
I thought I’d offer my own little tribute to him today by posting some of my favorite photos for Friday Eye Candy:

Aloha Friday Questions:
What was your favorite Heath Ledger movie?
Have you seen any of the Oscar nominated movies? (I haven’t.)
Let’s try to end the debate once and for all (if you watched The Office last night you know what I’m talking about): Hilary Swank: Hot or Not?

Got something to say?

Aw, so sad.
I’m glad he was nominated, though.
I’ve only seen The Reader which is excellent.

Love Heath- First Night and I am watching Brokeback tomorrow (better late than never I suppose).
Don’t know what’s nominated…. so out of it this week.
Hilary Swank- NOT.

My favorite is 10 Things I Hate About You.

I love 10 Things I hate about You, honestly… Lords of Dogtown, of course… Um, I liked Monster’s Ball and thought he was strong, but it wasn’t my favorite role for him. Brokeback, of course, was amazing…
As for Hillary… No. A strong negative.

Hilary Swank is a monster.
I loved Brokeback! Adored it.

The only movie that I watched of his was Brokeback Mountain and I liked it.

Loved him in “10 Things I Hate About You”.
I saw “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”. It totally renewed my love (which has dwindled) of Brad Pitt. He is just so yummy in that movie.
I thought his New Orleans accent was spot on and that was most of what was so appealing about him.
Hillary Swank. There is something about her that is elegant and charming, but I don’t think she’s “hot”.

I have seen all of his movies. I was quite a fan and am still sad about what happened. He was very talented and I wish someone could have helped him.
Great pictures!

Definitely “10 Things I Hate About You”!

I loved him as the joker in batman.
Hilary is ok

I have not seen any of the nominated films either. There is one on the list that I hope to see, but will likely wait until it is on DVD.

The first Heath Ledger movie I saw was 10 Things I Hate About You and I still love it. He was incredible in The Dark Knight and I also really liked him in that Bob Dylan movie. I guess The Dark Knight would probably be my favorite.
I haven’t seen any of those movies and I personally don’t think Hillary Swank is very attractive, I never really understood the hype.

I miss Heath
She’s pretty but NOT HOT
[Reply]
The Dark Knight was his best work, I think. And Hillary Swank is nice looking but not hot.

What a handsome handsome man…. So so sad.
I really loved him in A Knights Tale… I think thats what it was called….

I’m glad he was nominated too- but kind of disappointed that he will win the sentimental vote and likely the Oscar- I’m a HUGE Downey, Jr fan (thought he rocked it in Tropic Thunder!)
NOT HOT! Who knows better than a gay man what hot is- Oscar was right on! She’s is attractive, but not hot!

My favorite Heath Ledger movie would have to be either Brokeback Mountain or Dark Knight. He did excellent in both films.
I haven’t seen any of the films nominated, but really want to see a few of them. I’ll wait until they’re out on DVD.
Hillary Swank….ah! She’s pretty in her own way.

I’m not sure I ever watched him in a movie but the second to the last photo is my favorite!

Adored him in A Knight’s Tale. I can’t believe it has been a year.
I only just saw Dark Knight and wow how good was he as the joker??
[Reply]
I loved all of Heath’s movies. His death was tragic.
I LOVE the office. I say she’s Hot. Did you see PS I Love You? That and her backless Oscar dress from a few years back.

The Patriot….. I remember thinking, “Whoa, who’s that…. he’s amazing!” but then I saw Brokeback Mountain and thought it was such a great love story…….
Hilary Swank….. NOT…. something about her I just don’t like.

LOVE DARK NIGHT, but there hasn’t been a movie that had him in it that wasn’t good. He’s so believable. It’s sad he can’t be the Joker again.

A Knight’s Tale and The Patriot.
And Hilary Swank has always made me shudder. Yick.

oh i love heath so much. as for the oscar movies, i have a lot to watch, haha.

I am still so sad about Heath…I hope he wins the Oscar.
I say she is Hot!

I miss the films Heath will never make. A year later, his loss still looms so large.
I think my favourite film of his was 10 Things I Hate About Your with Lords of Dogtown coming in close behind it.

I loved Heath in almost all of his movies. My favorites are probably Patriot and Four Feathers. But I never saw 10 Things I Hate About You and lots of people have commented on that movie so I’m thinking I need to add that to my blockbuster queue.
Hilary? Well, I really enjoy her characters, I think she is a great actress and I think she’s cute but I don’t think I could classify her as “Hot”. Although she is always in shape and can pull of her jeans just as easily as an elegant gown. And not everyone can do that.
Hmmm… does that even help with the decision?? Probably not. Sorry. =0)

When Jim was whispering to Kevin (pretending to be Hilary) “I really wanna make make out with you” I thought I would pass out. I heart Jim. Lord, he is gorgeous.

A year? Already? Gone to soon but not forgotten, I wish there had been someone to help him.
I’ve only seen A Dark Knight but there are a couple of others that the family owns – I just haven’t watched them yet.
The Joker is what made The Dark Knight such a great movie and the success of the Joker was Heath IMHO
I can watch A Knight’s Tale over and over but I’ve only seen Brokeback Mountain once (beautiful country)

I fell in love with him in A Knight’s Tale. That movie is soo great. Very funny. Great soundtrack. Fun for guys and girls. Something you can watch with the kids.
People, if you”ve never seen it, do it tonight!!!

i have to say my favorite Heath movie was “10 Things I Hate About You” seriously one of my favorite movies ever…i still quote silly lines from that movie. I know it wasnt his serious acting roles and he was just getting his foot in the door but I became a huge fan from that day on!! Such a tragic ending!
The episode of the Ofiice the other night was so funny. I think her body is hot and If I was a guy I would do her.

Candy and Brokeback.

By far, my favorite.
