Friday Eye Candy: Music Crush Edition
So, I’m riding in the car today and that Miley Cyrus song comes on. You know the one.
“Party in the USA” (I’m linking it in case you are lucky enough to live in a Miley-free world.)
As much as it pains me to say this, I actually like the song. There it is. It’s out there now and there is no taking it back.
I blame my husband. He had it on his iPod first and I made so much fun of him for it. That was last week. What can I say? It just started growing on me. I know, I know…I’m so ashamed to admit this to you after writing this post.
In my defense, you have to admit that it is quite catchy. And despite the fact that she does everything in her power to ruin the song with the irritating sound of her voice, it still ROCKS!!
I’m hanging my head in shame right now.
In order to redeem myself I will share two of my newest musical crushes today.
First, we have Mat Kearney. I fell in love with his song “Closer to Love” the first time I heard it and he is pretty easy on the eyes too.
Mmmmm…freckles. Have I mentioned that I have a thing for guys with freckles?

Next up on my musical crush list is Parachute.
I just saw the “She Is Love” video for the first time today and I was immediately smitten for the lead singer. Check it out:
The song is so romantic and OMG I’m feeling all melty after listening to his voice. And dear god, are his lips not the most kissable lips you’ve ever seen?????
The other guys in the band aren’t too shabby either.

I’m sorry to say that I got dragged to Hannah Montana movie and ended up buying the DVD and downloading some songs! I don’t particularly like that song but my favourite is Butterfly – so beautiful.
My current musical crush is Danyl Johnson who wowed us in the first show of X Factor (think American Idol) this year – amazing voice and drop. dead. gorgeous!
Favourite song? Hmmm. I could go on forever but for right now it’s Shakira and ‘She Wolf’ – great going out song!

As much as I don’t want to like Miley, I just do. My daughter has Party in the USA on her ipod and it kept growing on me so I added it to my ipod the other day.

Well I think it’s no surprise my number one musical crush is John Mayer, also LOVE Jack Johnson.
As for current favorite song… ummm… I’ve been on a bit of a musical hiatus for awhile. We stopped listening to music in the car awhile ago and so now the only music I really listen to is whatever is on Ellen. So I guess the song I’ve been listening to the most lately is that song by Pitbull? ::shrugs::
And Miley… yeah I really can’t stand her. I don’t think I’ve heard the song and my internet connection is being to sluggish to bother trying to listen now. At least that’s my excuse. Really, I just don’t like her.
