Hollywood Hair
I am way overdue for a cut and color. The reason I keep putting it off is because I’m not sure what I want to do with my hair.
I’m pretty sure that I would like to grow it out again, but it is in that really-awkward-not-quite-shoulder-length-blah-stage and I am so tempted to get it cut at chin length again. Especially when I see photos of Ashley Green (aka Alice Cullen) rocking her adorable bob.
I’ve had my hair short or mid-length for so long. I’m ready for a change so I think I’m going to persevere with the growing it out process.
This is where I need your help. I’ve been playing around with the InStyle Hollywood Hair Virtual Makeover and I need your advice. Tell me which celeb style/color looks best on me.
The first step was finding a decent picture of me. I decided to go with my most recent Hollywood photo (meeting Paul Rudd):
I cropped him out (sorry, Paul) and got to work.
Of course, I had to start by trying out the Farrah Fawcett (R.I.P.):
Um, yeah…that doesn’t seem to be the right fit for me. Actually I’m not sure I would be able to pull of the blonde hair at all.
I tried the Kate Winslet with disastrous results:
And the Jennifer Aniston wasn’t any better.
Do you think I could pull off red hair? I think it takes a certain personality to go red. I’m not sure that I am that sassy.
Can you guess whose famous red locks I am wearing? Let me give you a clue….I am no pretty woman.
And then there is the question of cutting my bangs. Ever since seeing 500 Days of Summer, I’ve been wondering if I should trim my bangs like Zooey Deschanel.
After seeing the above shot, I’m thinking the answer is a clear HELL NO!!
Alright, let’s get serious….here are a few options that I am really considering as far as color and I would love to hear your opinion.
Option #1: Blonde Highlights
- Rachel Bilson
- Vanessa Minillo
Option #2: Auburn Highlights
- Eva Longoria
- Hillary Duff
- Sandra Bullock
Option 3: Chocolate Brown with a few highlights
- Angelina Jolie

I think you look the prettiest with the chocolate brown color. And I like the longer hair length on you as well. You could request to get multi tonal brown highlights blended in the choc. brown color.

I’ve always had bangs… except for about 2 minutes during my junior year of high school. I’m trying something new with my new haircut… longer bangs swept over to the side. So far, I like it!

definetly the chohcolate brown! you´ll have to le it grow or put up with some extensions… but that one is certainly your new hair style!

I think the dark brown really suit you the most, second favorite being auburn. I’m also standing at that midpoint of “should I cut or should I grow?” I’m leaning towards growing it out if only because that option is free.
