Here’s something sure to make you feel really old…the movie Say Anything is celebrating its 20 year anniversary.
Want to feel even older? Three Men and a Baby stars are reuniting for a new movie…wait for it… Three Men and a Bride.
I just hope that creepy ghost doesn’t make an appearance again.
(If you missed out on the coming of age experience of renting this video tape just to catch a glimpse of this ghost, then you must go here to watch it (look a the window around 0:34 seconds) and then go here to read the explanation.)
I was on the fence about getting the H1N1 vaccine but then I read this article and my decision is made up. We are taking our chances and skipping it.
If I’m not dead from Swine flu by this Friday, I know exactly what I will be doing. Watching Stephenie Meyer talk about Twilight on Oprah. Set your Tivos!!
Remember this post where I shamefully admitted that I liked the Miley song “Party in the USA”. Yeah, well check this out…she admits in this video that she has never heard a Jay-Z song. WTF?? Then she says she doesn’t like pop music. Again, WTF??? Does she not realize that she sings pop music?!?! Here’s the problem…even after knowing what an idiot she is, I can’t help but still love that damn song. It is just so catchy!!
Disney has now opened up booking for their newest ship, the Dream, online. I may have to physically restrain myself from making a reservation for our family. It looks AMAZING!! Check out the Aqua Duck, the very first water coaster at sea.
Did you see the news that a new ocean may be forming in the most unlikely of places: the Ethiopian desert. I got really excited until I read that it would take anywhere from 100,000 to a half a million years to appear. This news also made me remember one of my favorite comedy bits of all time–Sam Kinison on World Hunger.
Since I’m feeling a little bad for laughing at that last link, I’ve decided to bring back Make a Difference Monday this week to ease some of my guilt. I think this is a fabulous idea and I am going to go through my coats today:
Lands’ End has joined forces with the National Coalition for the Homeless for the Big Warm-up. The Big Warm-up provides an opportunity for people across the nation to donate a gently used coat that will then go on to warm one of more than 3.5 million homeless women, men and children in the United States right now – each facing a cold winter.
Beginning October 29 until November 30, Lands’ End is hosting Big Warm-up coat donation sites at its 252 Lands’ End Shops at Sears and 13 Lands’ End Inlets®. Donated coats will be distributed via the National Coalition for the Homeless in communities nearby. To further encourage donations, Lands’ End is giving 20 percent off the purchase of a new coat for each one donated.
Visit WWW.BIGWARMUP.COM to see how each coat can warm a heart, track donations, find donation sites, watch an inspiring video and spread the word.

Got something to say?

EW recently had an article about “Say Anything” and it being 20 years… holy cow, that does make one feel old.
P.S. I still like the Miley song, too.

I think it’s funny that we both posted about Stephanie Meyer being on Oprah.
and yeah I didn’t think I could dislike Miley Cirus anymore and then I read your post. Sadly, yes the song is still catchy. ::sigh::

I keep hearing this thing about Miley Cyrus not knowing any Jay-Z songs and how that can’t even be possible, but I am here to tell you that it is indeed possible because I don’t even know who the guy is. It is a guy, right?

I had to laugh when I read this because I have never heard a Jay-Z song either. The difference is that you and I don’t sing a hit song with his name in it. The other thing that bothered me about Miley’s comment is that she made it sound like Jay-Z was pop. He is so NOT pop. He is rap/hip-hop. I just think that if you are going to put his name in a song, you should just take a few minutes and listen to his music.

I completely forgot to do Monday Mentions yesterday b/c I was in denial all day that it was Monday, lol. But I just had to comment to say I cannot believe Say Anything is 20 years old. Nor can I believe the baby is now a bride. Man, do I feel old! I was LMAO at your picture… I remember sitting around with my girlfriends during a sleepover, pausing that frame over & over and freaking ourselves out. And Friday’s Oprah? Holla!
