Monday Mentions

Let’s Get Started With This Week’s List of Things Worth a Mention:
- Disney World has confirmed plans to expand Fantasyland. See the concept art and read what they have in store here. I guess we are going to have to save for another trip in 2013.
- Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield are coming to the big screen. Diablo Cody is set to make a movie out of the beloved Sweet Valley High books. Hmm….does anyone else think that is a really odd pairing? I want to be excited about this but honestly, I don’t know what to think.
- I just read on Jen’s blog that Stephenie Meyers had confirmed that The Host is going to be made into a movie. Have you read it? I did and I could totally see Ryan Gosling in the role of Ian. Anyone else think this would be great casting?
- If you think you are having a bad day, Lisa and Laura can assure you that Jessica Simpson’s day is worse.
- I may actually have to go Team Jacob after all. Check out why on Stars Hollow. (Note: It isn’t just because of the picture, because lusting after the picture would be illegal.)
- Speaking of Twilight, did you see that Bath and Body Works is releasing a new line of products called Twilight Woods? I’m really hoping they are able to capture the scent of Edward in the meadow scene.
Now, I’m saving the best for last…
- You MUST go check out this post (and watch the video that accompanies it). I would try to sum it up but it is way too complicated to even know where to start. All I know is this chick is HILARIOUS!! (And her friend looks just like Ryan Gosling. ‘Nuff said.) (BTW, Big thanks to Amy for turning on to this blog)

Good point, Jenni! I very much agree. However, since the odds that a fictional vampire is going to be rubbing on me anytime soon, I’ll probably be buying the Twilight Woods scent in the hopes that I can make the fantasy a more multi-sensory experience.

I am so excited about The Host. I just read it this summer and I think it would make a great movie. It’s definitely not my favorite book but I think it would do well on the screen. I had heard she wanted Matt Damon and/or Ben Affleck.
I love this idea of links. I would do a post but I just did a post like this at the end of last week. I’ll see if I can come up with something though.

Hmmm….I could see Matt Damon as Ian….maybe. He seems a little old for the role. Perhaps he could be Jared instead. Isn’t he older? Affleck is not even an option (oh please say he isn’t an option). Ew.

I haven’t read The Host yet, but I am super excited about the SVH movie! I had no idea about the Fantasyland expansion or the Twilight Woods B&B products. So glad you mentioned them!
