Honorable Mention for best dressed is a tie between Penelope Cruz and Freida Pinta. Although I wasn’t sure about either of these while I was watching them on tv, I really like them now that I am seeing them in photos. I think the detailing in both of these dresses is beautiful.
Worst Dressed:

dailyjen: Tilda gets my vote for worst dressed of the night. This is just AWFUL!!!

Honorable Mention for worst dressed goes to Jessica Biel. She looks like she just got out of bed, wrapped the sheet around her and forgot to do her hair.
Now let’s take a look at some of the guys. First up, Robert Downey, Jr. He also wins my vote for best couple. I love him and his wife together. They are just so cute and seem like a genuinely happy couple.

While RDJr. did look incredibly handsome last night, he wasn’t the Robert that most women were waiting to see. I’m sure that the ratings for last night’s show were up due to the appearance of this Robert.
That would be none other than Robert Pattinson (aka Edward Cullen). The only problem was that his hotness seemed to render us speechless:

The stills you found give a much better representation! I do like Kate Winslet in that pic- she looked a little washed out on my TV, but her coloring and the dress look fab in this pic!
Natalie, however, I thought looked great on my TV, looks gaunt in this pic- watch out for the southern winds, Natalie!

Well, I missed the Twitter party and the entire Oscars b/c my baby got really sick and I rushed her to the hospital (pneumonia – FUN). But on a lighter note, I will have to kindly disagree about Jessica Biel. I thought her dress was simple and kind of classy, and I actually liked the “relaxed” and toussled look of her. Some of the fancy up-dos look so uptight and rigid, I think, I thought she looked very naturally beautiful.

And the sad thing is….. Access Hollywood just said Frieda was the worst dressed… she looked like she was wearing a mother of the bride dress…. I’m sorry, she looked GORGEOUS and that dress was beautiful! I think we’re right on all our picks and “they” are wrong!

Best dressed did go to Natalie. I loved the color (one of the few who actually wore a color) and the style, along with her hair. It was elegant yet simple. After Natalie, there weren’t many that I liked, unfortunately. I didn’t care for Kate’s hair or dress. We knew she was going to win Best Actress so I felt she really needed to do it up! And she didn’t. She dressed as if she was simple a nominee and not a WINNER. Angelina’s hair was too high, dress was okay and the earrings/ring were way to bright. That’s all you could stare at were those earrings! Penelope’s dress didn’t fit on top and I thought it looked like it belonged on a bride, not on the red carpet. Did Jessica Biel have on close-toed shoes? I think she did and so from that moment on (or what I thought anyway) she was ruined for me. SJP was a total mess. Her dress was too big, didn’t like the belt, hated her hair and her make-up. Anne looked good, but her hair was too tight. and although I liked the dress, I didn’t like the color on her. She was too pale for that color. A lot of the dresses were cream/neutral in color and I didn’t really care for that. Could we have gotten some color??? Geez. I thought Reese was gorgeous – as always! Loved that she chose a dress from an up and coming designer, loved her hair and the dress itself. She’s beautiful and does little wrong in my mind. I also liked Jennifer Aniston. People said she played it safe and looked her usual self. But hey, that’s what works! She was an attendee, not a nominee and she didn’t walk the carpet. I thought the dress was appropriate (I even liked the color on her b/c she was tan) and I liked that her hair was down since not many women wore it down. I thought Marisa
Tomei looked good too. Loved her hair and the dress. I guess that’s it… Oh yeah, one more thing… I’m surprised I could compose all of this after watching the tribute to RP!!! Y-U-M! My husband and I watched Twilight last night so I was already on a high from Edward, and then I saw him on the carpet and present! Thank you to the Academy for inviting him!!!

I like the style of Natalie Portman’s dress… but the color? Notsomuch.
