I love The Bachelor, although every season, I vow NOT to watch the next season. And the I do. In fact, a few friends and I are going to have Bachelor night watch parties, so we can talk trash about everyone- awesome!

And yes yes yes to American Idol. I actually LOVE the fourth judge. I think she brings a nice dynamic to the show.

I haven't read the Twilight series so I have no idea what I am missing. I loved Midwives though!

Hi - my first post here, introduced to you by Jen @ mommablogsalot .
I, too, was sad when I finished Breaking Dawn and drew it out as long as possible so I could stay in my fantasy land. I got *nothing* done in the house while I was reading the books, and if I started another book in between the series I was so not interested in it. It's not that Stephenie Meyer is a particularly eloquent writer, but I was so engrossed in the characters she developed I fell in love with the books.
I also just found your post: http://dailymishmash.com/2008/is-this-a-good-or-bad-thing/ and found it hilarious! If I can't keep a house clean while reading the series, how can Obama run a country? ;)

Oooooooh, so mcuh to say Jen! First, yes you can link that post if you please.

Ok - now I am a sucker for The Bachelor, but kind of skimmed that part because I've yet to get caught up on espidode #2, I was at a lecture that night and missed it, abc.com is my new BFF!

Ok and yes, I was also a little sad after reading Breaking Dawn a few months ago, but since then I've started re-reading the books - I'm already half way through round #2 of New Moon! Somebody help me! And I had to see Twilight twice, once with my husband and once with my son - to whom I'd promised I'd take him to see it if he finished the book, which he did!

Midwives was such a moving book. I hope the movie is even half as good, hopefully they got an excellent script writer for it! :)

And, I can't wait to read the book from Edwards' point of view, I can't get enough of him. Like I said, I need help. At least I didn't join that Twilight Mom's group online, then I'd know I was really going off the deep end! LOL!

I have to admit this time around i watched Idol, i thought it was pretty good, they still had some funny ones on there. i probably can't commit b/c i work some nites but maybe i will switch it on from time to time . definitely won't DVR it , i just have SO many other tv shows, i feel that all weekend i watch them to catch up ha ha. This is fine now that it's winter and i don't want to go out in the cold but once summer hits, this may become too much of a tv addiction :)

and i will try to watch the bachelor, i heard people talking about it .

Glad you are feeling better!

I think the Twilight saga ended well. There was definite closure, yet there is still room for a fifth book if she's ever inclined to continue.

I just finished the Southern Vampire Mysteries (aka Sookie Stackhouse novels) by Charlaine Harris. I'm trying to finish a post on my blog about it, but like you, I'm a little behind on life right now. There were some books I liked better than others in the series, but the series captivated me well enough to keep me reading from beginning to end. They're not as innocent as the Twilight books; in fact, some chapters are very much rated R.

If you want a non-vampire-related read, I second A Thousand Splendid Suns. I also recently read In the Time of the Butterflies and really liked it, though I wasn't sure I would at first.

And I cannot WAIT for LOST to return next week! :)
