Wacko Indeed
If Michael Jackson wasn’t bizarre enough alive, it seems that his death is just the catalyst for a whole new slew of ridiculousness.
Let’s start with MJ’s ghost, as seen on this Larry King Live tour of Neverland ranch.
Ok, so maybe you don’t believe in ghosts. That is fine. I don’t blame you. It looked a lot like a shadow to me, too. At least the Haunted Mansion music made it somewhat entertaining to watch.
Moving on….you can’t tell me you don’t want to own a piece of Jackson history by placing a bid on the Moonwalk Cheeto?!!
You better hurry because the auction ends soon.

What? You don’t see the fact that this Cheeto is in the shape of Michael’s foot doing the Moonwalk? See:

If that isn’t AMAZING enough for you, wait until you hear the incredible history behind the Moonwalk Cheeto. Would you believe the guy claims he found this gem while watching Michael’s Motown 25 performance.
He says, ” So when I pulled the piece out of the bag I looked at it(I don’t know why I did) and noticed it looked like Michael Jackson doing the Moonwalk. Instead of eating it I sat it aside. Then for reasons unbeknownst to me I placed it in a case and stashed it away.”
First of all, ew. Secondly, why would anyone want this?
If you don’t want to miss out on this incredible, once in a lifetime snack food opportunity, head over to the auction and place your bid.
If you had trouble seeing the “moonwalk” shape on the Cheeto then the odds are really good that you will never be able to make out Michael Jackson in a tree stump. Yes, you read that correctly. Supposedly, the King of Pop appeared to the town of Stockton in a rotted out tree stump.
The video gets really good at 47 seconds when the crazy lady tries to say that Michael Jackson and Jesus “are about even”. So disturbing you just have to laugh.
Here’s an easier one:

His face is just above and to the left of the skinny building.
This looks like circa Off the Wall Jackson to me, when he actually still had a nose.

Do you see it?
It is interesting how people see what they want to see when a person dies. Maybe they see a ghost. Maybe they see the person’s face in a tree stump or clouds. Or like most of us, we forget all the bad things about the person and only see the good.
I know that I’m guilty of it. I’ve been watching the coverage all morning and I have to say that I want so much to believe that Michael Jackson, while strange and troubled, was a good person deep down.
Why do I want to believe that? I really can’t say for sure.
Is it because the media is influencing my opinion by showing only footage that paints him in a better light? Perhaps, but if that is the case, couldn’t it be said that the negative media attention influenced my opinion while Jackson was still alive?
Or maybe it is just human nature. It could be that we only see the good because that is how we hope that people remember us when we die. I know that I have a ton of faults, but at my core I try really hard to be a good person. In the end, I hope that I am remembered for that and people forget my shortcomings.
In any event, I’ll be glued to the tv when the memorial comes on. Will you/did you watch?

Hmmm….. I don’t see any of it.
I won’t be watching today… After two weeks of the same stories being played over and over and over, I’m sick of all the coverage- there HAS to be more important news out there.

I think we all try to remember the good stuff and see him as a good person cuz, in my personal opinion, I want him to be in heaven… thats it, thats why I keep thinkking that despite all the bad things he might have done, I want him and every person to really rest in peace and be with God.

Honestly, I’ve set this day aside to mourn the loss of a piece of my childhood. I feel deep empathy for his family as well. So today I’m setting aside any of the negative. Just like someone said in the memorial, we’ll have eternity to pick Michael Jackson apart, so I choose to hold him up positively today.
and even in light of the negative, I really honestly truly do not believe he is a bad person. He is a strange person, sure, but in light of how he was forced to spend his childhood, I can understand him being a little weird. And that’s as far as I’ll go today on the negativity.
I did watch. And I cried a lot. I haven’t been a fan over 10 years, but I cried still. And I thought I had pulled myself back together until Paris spoke and broke down. That’s when I completely lost it. I feel such sorrow for those children. I can only hope that the Jackson family will continue to protect them from the media barrage.

Crazy people attract crazy people, no?
I’m sorry those children lost their father but what a strange man he turned out to be. I miss the days of “Thriller” when he wasn’t quite as off the wall. May he rest in peace….

I’m really glad I found your blog. First, because it’s well written and funny, and second, because you put exactly into words what I’ve been thinking about MJ. I really want to believe he was a good person but I’m just not sure.
Nice to meet you

I’m so OVER MJ. Yes, he was talented. Yes, he was damaged. Let’s just let the poor guy RIP and let his family grieve. The media is totally exploiting the situation.

The only thing Michael Jackson ever did “wrong” was act as a mirror for how ugly Western culture and its shallow values are. He was without sin – think about it.
