Visions of Gosling Dancing in My Head

You know those friends who you can go months and months without seeing or speaking to and then when you finally get together it is like no time has even passed.  Yeah, well let’s just pretend that this blog is one of those friends.

I am absolutely horrified at how long it has been since I’ve last written a post.  I didn’t want you to worry and think that I’ve slipped into some sort of Gos-induced coma after seeing all the photos and videos from Sundance since that was the last you heard from me.  (For the record, it was more like a trance than a coma.)

I know I said I’d update my post with the videos as they came in but there were just way too many.  I found myself watching them and just being left speechless.

Now that some time has passed and I’ve had time to properly digest and reflect on the videos, I thought it would be best to narrow it down and just post my absolute favorite instead. After careful consideration, I have decided that the first 60 seconds or so of this video contains my favorite Ryan moment at Sundance and pretty much sums up why I love him so much.

(If you are viewing in a reader, you may have to click over to watch the clip.  Trust me, it is totally worth your time.  Remember all the action happens in the first minute of the video so just hit play to see what I’m talking about.)

How is it possible that he made the most ordinary, mundane act of picking the lint off of Michelle’s sweater look so damn sexy?  Just when I think that he can’t possibly get any more attractive he goes and proves me wrong. It is almost criminal how beautiful he is!

And did you happen to notice the way he looks at her while she is talking?   It is though every fiber of his being was focused on what she had to say.  I’m married to a wonderful man but if I tell him something I usually have to stand in front of the tv, raise my voice and repeat myself twenty times before he grunts a “Yeah, yeah, ok.  I heard you,” at me.

Finally, before I conclude this post I’d like to address a very important little Gos-tidbit that came out of all the Sundance interviews.  Apparently, he has taken up a new hobby.

He says:

“I’m taking ballet classes at the YMCA.  It’s good for my posture.”

I know how I feel about this, but I’m curious how you all feel. Some might find this latest piece of news a tad bit…um how should I say this…unmanly. I think it is the furthest thing from the truth.  I love that he is so secure with his masculinity that he isn’t afraid to branch off and try new things even if they aren’t your typical run-of -the mill “guy” activities.  Ryan isn’t your typical run-of-the-mill guy so it makes perfect sense to me.  I find it incredibly HOT (no big surprise there)!!

What do you think?   Ballet lessons–hot or not?

Just in case you needed a little visual to help you with your choice:

Sigh.

——-

Here are a few other clips that are totally worth a watch:

-In this video, Ryan reflects on The Notebook and gives some really great relationship advice.  I could listen to him talk about dirt all day long, so it is a bonus that he is talking about love.  This is truly a MUST SEE video for any true Gos-fan.

-This clip is short but it is absolutely adorable.  Love when he says “It’s not long enough if you ask me, but you didn’t.  Action.”

Enjoy!

Ryan Gosling and ballet lessons? Yes, that’s hot.

I think these two are adorable together.

And is the sweater he’s wearing in the video the same one he was wearing when you met him????

yea, I think Gos Ballet would be seriously hot. Only if he dons a tutu and tights would the hot factor dip for me, but I still dance Swan Lake with him!! I noticed the same thing as Shannon, that he was wearing the same sweater as when Jen met him; kinda brings it home, doesn’t it!!

I feel an uneasiness radiating from Michelle; in some of the clips I’ve seen she seems rather stand offish, whereas in others she’s very warm and friendly. I haven’t seen much of her work, so it may be her style… Ryan, of course, is just the best guy EVER. I wish my husband would pay attention to me the way h does to her when she’s speaking! Absolutely adorable.

I am SO looking forward to this movie’s release! I simply cannot wait!

I think the tutu and tights would be my limit too. Not sure even Ryan could pull that off and still look sexy!

I totally agree about Michelle. I can’t make up my mind about her. I’m really hoping they are not going to become an item.

OK, are these two an item IRL now, Jen or what? B/c I cannot stand her (goes back to my Dawson’s Creek days) and every time I see a new pic of them together from Sundance looking cozy my stomach churns a bit. He looks smoldering in this clip…

I don’t think they are together. They just seem like good friends to me. I had to LOL at your feelings about Michelle in regard to her Dawson’s Creek days. I am ashamed to admit that I too hold a little bit of a grudge too.

ok, had to share this b/c I am LOL at her calling Ryan “sex on a stick” http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1120985/board/nest/155834036

I read and absolutely agree about the “sex on a stick” comment. Good stuff!! I wonder if he minds being the object of so many women’s fantasies. Probably not!

I have to disagree about Michelle. I think they would actually be great together. They both seem to share an intensity and passion for acting. And I must say, they do seem quite close…will be interesting to watch over the course of the marketing campaign of this fim

A man who can dance (and I mean REALLY dance, not just flail around, although that can be endearing) is HAWT! A man who is training in ballet is even moreso because he has a respect for an art form and a mind of his own.

Dance and horseback riding have always been my achilles heel when it comes to men. Patrick Swayze did Both and thus he was about the hottest man on the planet to me.
